It has been such a pleasure photographing so many of you recently and I am so excited that this is the path that kind of chose me.

I have had a couple of people ask me "Ok, so the individual session fee is $125, but what does that include?"  Excellent question!

In short:

:: Preconsultation (let's grab coffee!) to discuss wardrobe/hair/make up, location, and posting options.  This is where I get to know a little more about you and what you are looking for;

:: 1-2 hr photo shoot, resulting in 20-30 finalized, full editted images;

::  Custom online gallery (that can be password protected for privacy, if you wish);

::  Low resolution, non-printable, watermarked images for use on Facebook and other Social Networking/media sites;

::  And, if you book a session for September or October, a $50 credit to apply towards your order!  Get an additional $25 credit if you refer a friend that results in a booked session!

Have an idea for a stylized shoot?  Pitch it to me!  If it sounds fun I'll knock off a few bucks and we can work together!

Super fun, unorthodox location you want to try out?  I'm always game!  Let's DO THIS!

Remember you can always contact me, via phone call, text, email, Facebook message, or the contact form found above for information, even if you just want to spitball ideas or chat photography.  Fair warning though, I am a bit of a nerd and can get a excited sometimes ;)

I'll admit, I had been looking forward to Nikki's shoot for awhile, if for no other reason that had been a BEAR to schedule her - she contacted me right right during the peak of the "OMGI'MGOINGTODIEANDPOSSIBLYNEVERSLEEPAGAIN!!!" crunch of getting the book to the publisher, and between our two schedules it took a while.  I know Nikki from high school and was really looking forward to shooting with her - she is someone who has truely taken life by the horns the last couple of years and I am so thrilled and proud to see how happy and beautiful she is - and that her photos show it :)  Enjoy - and leaver her some lovin'!! <3

So Verle (or VT3, as he is affectionately known as in my house) is a friend of my husband's from work.  Poor lil fella, he got to play guinea pig for me tonight...it has been a couple months since I have photographed a dude just by himself.  I have to say, not many boys I know would have put up with my extreme shenanigans and complete disorganization AND make it look as easy and good as Verle did!  Enjoy!!

Woooooooooo!!! Is it warm in here?!  I just got back from a SMOKIN' HOT session with Derek and Jess at the lake.  After shooting their wedding last summer I KNEW that this couple would be a blast - little did I know just how much fun it was going to be - or, just how SOAKED we would all get!  Sit back and enjoy!!  And leave 'em a little love!!

I had the honor this afternoon of photographing a wonderful couple, Meg and Megan, in their home with their beautiful newborn daughter Eden.  Congratulations on your new bundle of wonder ladies!!

Pretty much every photog/mom-tog/mamarazzi/fauxtog has a blog like mine, featuring their "best of the best" and pitching you their "Why pick me" schpeel.

My MIL never received her wedding portraits.  True story.  They hired a guy, paid him manymanymany of their dollars, and never received portraits in exchange for those dollars.  Oh wait.  They DID receive portraits,  5 years later...OF ANOTHER COUPLE.  #photogfail.

I have written blog after blog after blog on why to do your homework, why to ENSURE that you hire a pro, WHY portraiture is so expensive etc.  It makes no differnece.  The reality is that peeps work hard for their money and have a hard time justifying WHY to spend manymany dollars on a professional when their bestie has a Canon DSLR with a kit lens that could just do it for them.  Hrrrrrrrrr.

So I'm going to save my breath and send you over to my friend and colleague Christian Hamilton Photography's blog about this exact topic.  I seriously giggled when I read his views, and considering that he is a male professional photography with literally DECADES of experience, swimming in a sea of estrogen-crazed pro-sumers, I think that you will appreciate his point of view.

Well played, sir.  Well played.

Skin that is glowing from pregnancy is such a beautiful canvas for amazing tattoos.  Heather is so beautiful expecting (BOY!!!!) #4, and she is positively radiant.  It was such a pleasure meeting Heather and spending time with her - all the best to her and her boys!! <3
